Our today's flower is another Magnolia flower. This one is Pink in color and blooms profusely during spring. Common name is Campbell's magnolia with botanical name Magnolia campbellii var. mollicomata. It belongs to the plant family Magnoliaceae. This plant is native to Himalaya, Northern part of Myanmar, and China.
Campbell's magnolia (Magnolia campbellii) is a medium sized tree that can grow around 30 meter in height. This is a deciduous plant but grows very quickly. Leafs are broad and elliptic shaped which can be a foot long sometimes. Leafs are having hairy underneath when they are new.
Flowers of Campbell's magnolia (Magnolia campbellii) are equisitely beautiful. They bloom profusely and throughout the spring they bring flowers. Flowers are very large with pink petals. Shape of the flower is sometime looks like a saucer. Flowers bloom directly from the branches of the plant. During the blooming time the plant doesn't have any leaf. That's why the plant looks like a pink tree when they bloom.
