This flower plant belongs to the plant family Apocynaceae (dogbane Family). Botanical name of the flower is Plumeria Spp. It known as white Frangipani, white Plumeria in English.
There are very few flowers like this one in our country which are from large trees and having fragrance and beauties at the same time. This White Frangipani (Plumeria Spp.) flower has five white petals having a touch of yellow starting from the center and fading away while reaching towards the brink of the petal. A very expensive perfumes are being made now a days using the fragrance of this flower.
I didn't see any pollination mechanism from the White Frangipani (Plumeria Spp.), so hard to say whether it produces any seeds or not. But one can easily propagate this flowering plant using a simple brunch cutting (grow instantly). Possibly this is the reason to call this flowering plant as "Tree of life" in India, and the flower of this tree is considered as the flower of their Lord Krishna.
It was the year 2000 when I had first arrived at Dhaka. Beside the road of our building I have seen this flower for the first time. It was a medium sized tree. That time I didn't know the name of the flower, but few days later I found it was Gulach/Gulchi from a local newspaper's article. In fact in Bangladesh, this is known as Gulach (গুলাচ), Gulchi (গুলচি), Gulachi Chapa (গুলচি চাপা), Kath Chapa(কাঠ চাপা), Kath Golap (কাঠ গোলাপ), etc
