The flowers have a distinct foxtail-like appearance, with narrow, elongated petals that give them a unique charm. Rhynchostylis retusa is highly sought after by orchid enthusiasts and is often cultivated for its stunning blooms, making it a popular choice for orchid gardens and collections. This orchid belonds to the plant family Orchidaceae.
The plant features long, thin, and slightly curved leaves that grow in a cluster. The leaves are vibrant green and provide an attractive backdrop to the blooming inflorescence. The Foxtail Orchid is a medium-sized orchid, with mature plants reaching a height of about 30 to 60 centimeters (12 to 24 inches).
