গাঁদা ফুল বা গেন্দা ফুল, বাগানের ফুল... সাধারণত দুই ধরনের গাঁদা ফুল দেখতে পাওয়া যায়... হলুদ আর কমলা.. এদের আকার ছোট থেকে মাঝারি, বড়, অনেক রকম হতে পারে... একদম বড় যেইটা, সেইটাকে আবার বলা হয় জাম্বো গাঁদা... একটু খয়েরি রঙের গাঁদা ফুল দেখতে পাওয়া যায়, ঐটার আকার আবার শুধু ছোটই হয়... খুব বেশি যত্ন নেয়া লাগে না এই ফুলের গাছের জন্য... যেকোনো বাগানে এই ফুলের উপস্থিতি থাকবেই... ছোট বেলায় আমাদের কলোনির বিল্ডিঙ্গের সামনের ঝোপ পরিষ্কার করে বেশ কিছু বীজ ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম... এর পরে কখনো যত্ন নেয়া হয়নি... মনেও ছিলনা পরে আর... হঠাত একদিন দেখি সেই জায়গায় ৭/৮ তা ফুল ফোটেছে... দুই এক দিনের মধ্যে সেই সংখ্যাটা অগনিত হয়ে গেল...
English name of this flower is Marigold. Other common name is Maxican Marigold, Aztec Marigold, etc. Botanical name of the flower is Tagetes erecta. This flower pertains to the plant family Asteraceae. This is native to Mexico and Central America. But now a days nurturing widely across the world in garden.
In Bangladesh this flower is known as Genda ful(গেন্দা ফুল), Gada ful(গাঁদা ফুল), etc. Yellow is the color of Spring in our country Bangladesh. During the first day of spring, people wear yellow dress to celebrate the day. Females are keen to have yellow Gold flower on their hair as ornament. Also for decorating purpose this flower is the main ingredient. This is the reason to cultivating this flower widely across our country.

This is an annual plant grows as a bush. Leafs are slim and having complex architecture. Flowers are having lot of petals around the center. This plant usually grows from the seeds and doesn't need that much care for growing.
