Dudhiya Ful(দুধিয়া ফুল) - Euphorbia hirta

গাছের কান্ড ভাঙলে দুধের মতন কষ বের হয়, তাই এইটাকে আমাদের ঐদিকে দুধ কষ নামেই চেনে... এইরকম আরো অনেক গাছ আছে যা থেকে দুধের মতন সাদা কষ বের হয়, সেইগুলোকেও আমরা দুধ কষ বলেই জানি... যাই হউক, আজকের এই দুধের মতন কষ বের হওয়া উদ্ভিদের নাম দুধিয়া... অনেকে যাকে বড় দুধি বলেও চেনে... আগাছা জাতের ছোট এই গাছের ফুল সহ ছবি দিয়ে দিলাম... যদিও দুধিয়ার ফুলকে ফুল বলে অনেকে নাও মনে করতে পারে..



Our today's plant name Asthma Weed. So you can easily understand that its a medicinal plant, but still a weed. Botanical name of this plant is Euphorbia hirta from the plant family Euphorbiaceae. In our country Bangladesh, we call this plant as Dudhiya(দুধিয়া), Boro Dhudi(বড় দুধি), etc. The reason behind such name for it's white milky sap from the plant.



Dudhiya(দুধিয়া) is a small annual herb with single stem, but grows as a bunch. Leafs are ovate/lens shaped and oppositely arranged around the slender stem. Leafs are having slight toothed at the edges. Dudhiya Ful(দুধিয়া ফুল) grows as cluster and very small, probably 1 millimeter in length.



Boro Dhudi(বড় দুধি) has several medicinal uses(including asthma, dysentery, etc).
