Maloti Lota Ful(মালতি লতা ফুল) - Aganosma dichotoma

আজকের ফুলের নাম মালতি লতা ফুল... এইবার বৃক্ষ মেলায় প্রথম দেখলাম এই ফুল... এর আগে অনেক ছবি দেখেছি, কিন্তু কখনো সামনে থেকে দেখা হয় নাই... অত্যন্ত মারাত্মক এই ফুলের গন্ধ... মন মাতাল করা যেই গন্ধের কথা এতদিন শুনেছি, মনে হয় এই ফুলের গন্ধ সেইরকম... তীব্র এই গন্ধের জন্য এই ফুলকে গন্ধ মালতি ফুল বলেও ডাকা হয়...



The flower I am going to introduce today is Maloti Lota Ful(মালতি লতা ফুল). This is revered for both it's exotic beauty as well as for aromatic redolence. Botanical name of this flower is Aganosma dichotoma with lot of synonyms. It pertains to the plant family Apocynaceae.



Maloti Lota(মালতি লতা) is also known as Gondho Maloti Ful(গন্ধ মালতি) for it's fragrance. The scent is kind of alluring which will force you to take the smell over and over. People say the scent is spicy.



Maloti Lota is basically an evergreen climber. We plant this ornamental flowering plant at our gates and fences. Leafs of this plant are green and glossy. Flowers are with five twisted petals and extremely scented. Lot of showy flowers use to bloom at a same time from summer to autumn.
