Telakuch(তেলাকুচ ফুল) is a highly valuable herbal plant. People from our territory are using this plant from ancient time as a procurement of several diseases. Botanical name of this medicinal plant is Coccinia grandis with a synonym Coccinia indica. It belongs to the plant family Cucurbitaceae(Pumpkin family). English name of this plant is ivy gourd, some people say Baby Watermelon.
This is a very fast growing climbing perennial plant. Leafs of this plant are slightly larger with kind of heart shape. This plant can grow from it's seed or from the part of the stem. Flowers are white and very attractive. Male and female flowers are different.
